Woodland Park Zoo Mobile App Design

Design a new mobile experience for the Woodland Park Zoo. The Zoo has an app but it is too similar to their website and difficult to navigate. I designed a specialized app that will be used during trips to the zoo. The app will add a new dimension to the zoo by providing up to date information based on location.

Client: Woodland Park Zoo

Goal: The new app design will create an interactive experience while at the zoo. At certain locations new video, audio, and picture content will be available. The main feature will be an interactive map. The aim of this app is to make the users’ trip to the zoo better.

Process: This design was developed through research, analysis of competitors, the development of user personas, paper prototypes, wireframing, user testing,  and high fidelity mockups, Finally a prototype was created in Adobe XD. This whole process is recorded in a detailed case study, which contains competitive analysis, sketches, iterations, and user testing.
