Process & Sketches:

The book is organized by neighborhood, so I began by working on how I wanted to structure each section. Each chapter includes a title page, a map highlighting a few key locations, and then the copy and photography portion.
The photography is the primary feature of this book, so most of the spreads are designed to emphasize the pictures. I created thumbnail sketches for the entirety of the book because  it was important to focus on creating a good rhythm that was not too repetitive throughout the book.
